Just want to let you guys know that I used my Tucker this Easter weekend, and what a great cooker it is. It was about 40 degrees here in Vermont on Sunday and it kept it's temperature at 250 degrees all day long with very little wood! After I was done cooking, I just washed it out, and put back in the garage, ready for the next cookout. Everyone who has seen it just loves it, and talks about the outstanding craftsmanship and fit and finish. Anyone who wants to get into barbecuing should consider a Tucker for sure! Rob --- UPDATE: 08-03-2007 We went to our first Barbecue cook off this past weekend in Lake Placid New York, we finished 16th out of 36 teams, we had an 8th in pork butt 9th in chicken. I think that every team there came over and looked at the \"Tucker\" and everyone was so impressed by the fit and finish. On Saturday night it started raining about 8:00pm and rained untill 4:00 am and the ole \"Tucker\" just kept the temp at 225 and marched on! More than one person stopped and wondered how the rain never really bothered it.We went against some of the best teams in the North East and from around the country and we now can stand proud. We can't wait for our next event because of what we have learned from our first event. Rob , Windy Meadows Barbecue Team --- UPDATE: George and Holly, I have now had my Tucker for almost one year and, I just wanted to say thanks for building one of the best cookers out there. I am trying to become one of the pro barbecue guys and will be doing a couple of contests this year and I will bring the "killer tucker" grill to battle the best. I even had a custom cover made for it that covers it going down the road. Don't want people to see the secret weapon! People are amazed when they see it and can't stop talking about the fit and finish. I had a home built cooker that I built and it works real good but its no match for the Tucker. After I had cooked on the Tucker three or four times I learned how to control the temperature any where I wanted it and was amazed how it stays there. So once again thanks for a great product. |
